Course Overview
Introduction
This managing people training was created to provide information about human resource management to entrepreneurs and to develop their skills to effectively and efficiently manage people.
What is managing people?
One of the most important aspects of any business is the Human Resource component. No matter the size of the enterprise, it is critical that the management of the human resources be done strategically and with the interest of all parties in mind. As a manager, if you cannot manage people, then you cannot manage. Hence, in short, Human Resources is responsible for managing the employee life cycle.
There are actually two ways to define HR as per HR Guide:
- The actual staff or people that work in the company
- A strategic function in the company that helps to manage the people operations to support successful business outcomes.
In this module, we are going to go through the stages of developing the HR function for any organization, but particularly for Micro, Small or Medium sized enterprise.
